Sistar Appointed As Honorary Ambassadors For 'K-POP Cover Dance Festival’
SISTAR become the K-POP Korean Wave's representatives.
The 'Visit Korea' Committee has officially appointed national girl group SISTAR as[b] honorary ambassadors[/b] to commemorate the 'Visit Korea Year, 2012 K-POP Cover Dance Festival' on June 25 at the Seoul Press Center.
Following last year, this year's Cover Dance festival will include 700 teams from 50 countries, gaining many global Korean wave fans. In particular, fans from North America, Oceania and Africa were uploading SISTARr's Cover Dance video and showed their love for SISTAR.
SISTAR commented, "We feel very honored to be selected as honorary ambassadors, succeeding KARA from last year. We are planning to work day and night to bring more things to the table for our fans."
The Cover Dance festival will begin with an online round and then move onto the second round, which will be held in each country. The winner will be invited to come to Korea in September and participate in the cover dance final stage.
Starting June 23, Nigeria, Hungary,[b] Indonesia[/b],[b] Philippines[/b], Brazil, India, [b]Thailand[/b], [b]Australia[/b], Russia, [b]Japan[/b] and [b]Korea[/b] will hold their auditions and SISTAR will visit the countries with a high number of contestants and participate as judges.
