In the dictionary, love is
However, for many of us, love means more than what the dictionary says.
Love is so abstract that there is no concrete definition of what it really is. In fact, there are innumerable answers to the question "What is love?" like "Love is blind." "Love is like a rosary full of mystery." and many, many more.
It's not only in slam book where we are asked this question but also in many instances in our lives (we even ask this ourselves sometimes)
And some say we can not define love until we felt/experienced it. But that's not true. Everyone can define what love is because we are loved (by our parents) even before we were born. So I believe you can tell what love is.
And here I am, asking you, "What is love?"
I believe in God's definition of love. And for me, God is love.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
New International Version (NIV)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
