give a thirty minute speech (in English) in front of american kids and not say "um" to prove awesome oratorical skills. And I did hehe I was so nervous. English isn't my first language and I cant even talk straight in a five minute conversation

Substitute a classmate who was supposed to compete in our school's Asian Parliamentary Debate Tournament. She got sick at the day of the competition and I was asked by our adviser to take her place. I went with my two teammates without any knowledge about the current events. Fortunately, the argument was about the K-12 education system. I presented as the Leader of Opposition and the debate went intense as it progressed. The opposing team (Government side) won by five points

I was the boyish type but I joined a national pageant......and I won.
