For shoujo, I recommend, Sukitte Iinayo. If you liked Kimi ni Todoke, then you'd definitely like this.
Second tier would be Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun and Kamisama Hajimemashita.
For shounen, I remember liking Code: Breaker (The protagonist is more like an anti-hero).
Gonna check out Zetsuen no Tempest coz the art looks hot.
Sorry if I didn't add any synopsis. Too lazy.
If you're interested with any of the upcoming animu mentioned here, go find the info on your own hahaha.
Also, if you know any other animes coming out this October (and you're planning (and/or recommending) to watch it/feel free to post here too. Last edited by aya (2012-10-07 23:53:23)
Errmmm.. maybe Little Buster too
Lolis spotted eh?
Try watching Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (not on list), you might like it.
It's hilarious.

Animes I've watched from the list above and my impression based on the first episode
Suteki Iinayo - The art is good; better than I expected.
Of course, compared to Kimi ni Todoke, Suteki Iinayo has a more "mature" storyline. This has been one of my fave shoujo manga, so to all romance junkie out there, this one's for you.
Kamisama Hajimemashita - Has followed the manga to a tee. This one's funny and I like the ending song. Ah-ah-ah-ah
Kawaii
Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun - Another great addition to shoujo animu this season. Seems like my fave shoujo mangas are being adapted into anime one by one. Kore wa subarashi desu! This one is really hilarious. A must watch.
K Project - Looks interesting... and complicated.
The art has a unique style. It's a bit different from the other animes I've watch.
Code Breaker -The female protagonist really annoys the fuck out of me (even on the manga). It's prolly her huge round bulging eyes wahahaha
But other than that, the first episode was good. (This is like any other shounen wherein the characters have special abilities which gets stronger and stronger because of reasons like: love, friendship, wanting to protect someone etc.)
Zetsuen no Tempest - Good art; Strong first episode. Might probably become popular too.

Cool.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a classic manga series. Nice, they made an anime adaptation of it.
I might try to watch Magi, Busou Shinki, and Code Breaker if I can still have time.
Sometimes I wonder about your taste in animu.
What abt sth with lotsa sexxx and gore and still hilarious?
How about you find someone who can produce that kind of anime?
m into K-Project now and To Love-Ru Darkness.

It does have a "classic" feel.
Putting Bakuman on hold.
I got bored of this anime suddenly. *sigh*

I recommended her some shoujos before but it's not her trip.
She only wants Koizora manga and Nodame Cantabile.
It does have a "classic" feel.

Yeah. It's like in "panahon ni kopong-kopong." just like Voltes V.
I'll watch Project K on Animax.

Just watched it. Superb graphics.
Plus, the Black Hound is interesting. He reminds me of Sebastian Michaelis because of his butler persona. I like the nekkid cat also.
I still prefer animus like Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star.

Nice choice.
For me, I like Misaki and.. Neko too.
Neko is sooo cute.
I'm liking this anime because of her.
[s]Shiro is gay as fck. He should've jumped on neko instead of acting like a true gentleman hahhahahhha[/s]
I'm in love with Haru
I like how he's a bit unpredictable and weird and yet so manly. And smart and caring and..and
I wish I could marry a guy like him right now.

The storyline is fkn hilarious *spazzzzzzzzzzzzzz
That feeling when u wanna talk about how awesome the episode was but got no one to talk to.

Told you it's good.
Base on the examples you mentioned, I think she likes anime with depth and lots of b'awww moments.
I recommended her to watch Kaichou wa Maid-sama , Lovely Complex, Bokura Ga Ita, Clannad, etc. but she doesn't like those anime.

Exactly. She wants anime that is more on drama. Those who can make her cry a lot.
