[u]Memory and intelligence[/u]
Intelligence is not heredity. What does it mean to be intelligent? IQ (Intelligence Quotient) tests can be useful in evaluating intelligence, but we can't rely solely on the results of these tests. It is important to find a balance between our personal abilities and our environment. Having a good memory, being psychologically well balanced....astute and resourceful- these are important qualities that can't measured b an IQ test.

Memory is not part of a gene pool or genetic heritage transmitted from parent to child. And neither is Alzheimer's disease! Many people over the age of 50 are concerned and consult a specialist if one of their relatives has suffered from a disease affecting the memory. This kind of disorder is not passed on from one generation to the next. It, nevertheless, you want reassurance, consult a specialist or contact a relevant organization about it.
