Whatever course your parents say is best for you, isn't really the best for you. Choose your own program. That's pretty much all I can give for a tip

Join a fraternity or sorority!

If you have the option, choose your professors wisely. There are those who are strict, will give you a hard time, doles out low grades but you learn a lot AND there are those who are just plain chill. Meanwhile, there are professors who are in between the two and it's totally up to you which professor you want.

Try not to depend on your classmates esp. during reports and projects. Some are just plain lazy and no interest on doing their parts. A grade of 3 (passing) is okay for college students but TRY to excel. It's for your own sake. Pass your assignments, projects, reports on time, much better if you pass it earlier. Make some connection with your professors esp. those who are terror or strict one. (They are helpful when you need some help from them trust me) Lastly, just enjoy your college days. Don't stress yourself from studying alot. Take one step at a time.

Know the buildings, or if you don't want to walk for miles alone while memorizing the halls, have a buddy who is already aware of the school campus.

Find the canteen and eat first.
