You always use itunes in your computer for ipods or iphones to deal with pics or music

you move the music from one ipod to your computer first then move the songs from ur computer to the 2nd ipod. You have to download itunes to your computer

For me, I'll just make a new folder on desktop/laptop local disk, copy all the songs from the 1st iPod to the folder then use iTunes to sync this folder to the 2nd iPod. But then is it just the same 'writing over the songs'?
