I was always like, "you saying something?" after she/he's finished talking. 
Or just silently smile at the person why she/he's insulting me and think of good stuffs like "oh my god look at this guy's yellowy teeth." or like, "is she/he even aware of the booger in his/her nose?"
Trust me It works.
