um as far as I know, oedipus complex is when a male child is sexually attracted to his own mum. There's another one called for the little girls. :3 ok edit. Um there's another complex named for little girls attracted to their own father. I forgot what it's called though, but we studied this in psychology.

@pawws Yeah. But usually, it's when a guy/a girl gets *subconsciously* attracted to the opposite sex, whose personalities resemble his/her parents' It's called Electra Complex for the ladies. Hahaha I said it the other way D;

Yep that's possible but really according to Freud who invented that term, its mainly only for the relation of the male child to his female parent. I'm pretty sure the term doesnt apply when the child becomes older or sth. -____- ugh shit idek @chaw not ladiesssss but kids, only kids. Um i guess iba na yung tawag kapag matanda na, tapos attracted pa rin sa female parent niya. Disorder na yun, it's a different case. :3

^ yeah. from what i remember, Oedipus complex and Electra complex only happens in Freud's phallic stage (guess that's around 3-6 y/o?) then the kids are supposed to get pass that stage and start following/copying the same sex parent. idk how you call it when they don't resolve it but maybe it is similar to oral formation 'cause that's like you're not over the sucking stage.. or maybe it's already a disorder like what you said but yeah, my point is i think they're only for kids because they're supposed to resolve it as they get older
