They're powerful here on earth but their punishment when they die (by God) is very, very severe. Also if you get kulam, and then you seek help from a strong folk healer, the mangkukulam can die if the folk healer reverses her spell. I also heard if someone dies from kulam then you can actually easily slip your hand under the dead person's weight like his/her body is slightly concave. They said they have this x-ray vision or sth HAHHAHAHAHHAA but the black cloth or black blanket can block it).
