I did once. But then I learned from our Church that if you see someone asked for money and say that it's for food, just give them a food rather money. Cause they might use it in vices.

I used to give money, but we discussed this in school that we should give them food or clothes. So maybe next time, I will no longer give money. Foods are better.

No. I'm very much aware of syndicates doing this thing so I'm kind of "cold hearted" towards people like this. Once, I gave money to these people who make this short talk about helping some group of passionate kids but later I found out it was just a modus of some sort. Now, people even ask for money to bury a dead relative. They even present a death certificate I think. Why dont you ask help from the barangay or the mayor. I dont trust you guys huhu

when i don't have any food with me, i give kids coins. i rarely give money to the adults especially when they're roaming around the place. i mean, if they have strength to walk from one place to another, they have strength to try and look for a job. i sympathize more on the beggars who just sit on the sidewalk. i don't know, maybe it's the effect of seeing homeless people on the films. bottom line here though is -yeah the others said it- it's more helpful if we give them food, not money.
