Share your cooking tips

So today, i tried cooking a Menudo and it ended up tasting something akin to poison. Good thing my friend was able to salvage the dish by using proper amounts of seasoning. This thread is for those who have experiences in cooking. Any tips to make a good dish?

Do not burn the garlic when you're sautéing, it will make the food bitter. :eee: Do not overcook the veggies. When frying fish, the oil should be very hot so it wouldn't stick to the pan.

Pour a little bit of love in whatever your cooking. (how?) Be patient. Low heat is the best. Know when to adjust the heat level, when to use low, medium or high.

^ I agree -To avoid splattering of cooking oil, try to lessen the moisture of whatever food you're trying to fry. If it's a milkfish..pray first before you put that on your frying pan :lol: -Saute the onions first, because garlic burns faster. -To get rid off the smell of the garlic in your hands, just look for any stainless utensils or to your stainless sink, rub your fingers and kaboom!

Also, go easy on the black pepper and rosemary.

Perfect Steak all the time: -Steak should be 1 1/2 inch thick -Thaw your steak to room temp -Preheat oven to 500 degrees -Season it good with salt and pepper only on one side -Cook on high heat for 2 min/season the other side with more salt and pepper -Flip over and put it in oven for another 2 min -Take it out and let it stand for 10 min|allow the beef and heat to do all the cooking -Enjoy your steak. You deserve it. :thumbsup:
